Hostal Tena Naui
We from Hostal Tena Naui are cooperating with a group of forestry farmers - "Associacion Lisanyacu", who together with an European NGO, runs a small research station in the rainforest - Estacion CEA Lisanyacu.
The rainforest station CEA-Lisanyacu ubicated in the National Park Llanganates offers ecology practice in the field of nature conservation, forestry, biology and environmental education. The project is supported by a european non-profit association "Rainforest Conservation in Ecuador", which promotes several forest conservation projects in Ecuador.
Internship content: During the internship period you will gain practical experience in projects and activities on the topics of ecology of the rainforest, land use and sustainable resource use. You will also gain an insight into the culture of the Kichwas del Oriente, the natives of the rainforest there.

Practical conditions: The duration of the internship should last at least 2 weeks. Since the station is managed by the Ecuadorian forestry organization Asociacion Lisanyacu, there should be some basic Spanish skills as well as English.
There is also the possibility to learn Spanish by the way in individual lessons. An internship fee of 15 $ per day must be paid in advance for the whole duration of the internship. Physical robustness necessary for field investigations and other work in the rainforest.
The volonteers are provided 24 hours a day, transport, meals and accommodation are included. They stay from Monday to Friday in the rain forest and at the weekend in our volonteer house near the hostel Tena Naui. A declaration of consent must be signed before the internship begins. For overnight we have beds, bed linen and mosquito nets. Depending on how many volunteers on the station are cooked for you there.
Our Hostal Tena Naui does not earn any income with this volonteer offer- the internship fee is paid only for the cost which you will cause during your stay the 2 days in Tena and in 5 days in the rainforest - we are working together with hundreds of international students since many years and we want to make our active contribution to rainforest protection together with the native cooperative "Associacion Lisanyacu".
